Helps eye health
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin and is often used as a chain antioxidant that prevents the formation of free radicals and is used to prevent or improve age-related macular degeneration, myopia, and uveitis. Evidence from other studies suggests that the alpha-tocopherol form of vitamin E, along with lutein and zeaxanthin, may decrease the risk of cataracts.
Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin. Long-term consumption of vitamin C may reduce the risk of forming cataracts and vision loss from macular degeneration. Vitamin C helps the body form and maintain connective tissue, including collagen found in the cornea of the eye.
Zinc is an essential element in the body that has a key role in the maintenance of vision. It is present in high concentrations in the body, particularly in the retina and choroid. Zinc deficiency can alter vision, and severe deficiency causes changes in the retina and retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). Zinc serves as an antioxidant in both the RPE and retina. It seems to slow the progression of some degenerative retinal disease.
Lutein & Zeaxanthin are natural carotenoids that can help protect your eyes from harmful high-energy light waves like ultraviolet rays in sunlight. Studies suggest that a high level of both in eye tissue is linked with better vision, especially in dim light or where glare is a problem. Lutein & Zeaxanthin can slow the progress of macular degeneration and can prevent cataracts.
DHA is a long-chain omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid that supports vision development and eye health recovery, improves dry eye syndrome, lowers the risk of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) & increases tear secretion.
▪ Calcium: Concurrent use of calcium with zinc reduces the absorption of zinc.
▪ Vitamin A: If taken concurrently, the effect of vitamin A is increased by the presence of vitamin E.
▪ Cholestyramine, Colestipol, and Orlistat reduce the absorption of vitamin E.
▪ Cyclosporine: Vitamin E might increase the absorption of cyclosporine.
▪ Vitamin E might increase the metabolism of drugs metabolized by an enzyme of CYP 450 3A4, such as chemotherapeutic agents (etoposide, paclitaxel, vinblastine & vincristine), alfentanil, fentanyl, and midazolam. Concurrent use of vitamin E with the drugs reduces their levels in the blood.
▪ If you take this product with 400 IU of vitamin E per day or more and anticoagulant drugs, consult your physician and pharmacist.
▪ Vitamin C increases the effect of contraceptive drugs contains estrogen and reduces protease inhibitor drugs effect (such as indinavir & ritonavir).
▪ Zinc reduces the effect of penicillamine.
▪ Zinc reduces the absorption of quinolone antibiotics (such as ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, ofloxacin, moxifloxacin & gemifloxacin) and tetracyclines (tetracycline, minocycline & doxycycline). Advise patients to take tetracycline at last 2 hours before, or 4-6 hours after Perfect Vision 3 BSK® supplements to avoid any interactions.
▪ Zinc disrupts the absorption of cisplatin.
▪ Barbiturates decrease the absorption of this product.
▪ Taking DHA with blood pressure-lowering drugs might cause hypotension.
▪ Fish oil increases the effect of anticoagulant drugs, so consult with your physician & pharmacies if you take anticoagulant drugs, such as warfarin, enoxaparin, ticlopidine & clopidogrel.
If you have renal failure and you are using aluminium binder medicines such as aluminum hydroxide continuously, avoid using a high dose of vitamin C.
